Sizing up

Colleen the younger and Christina the older

Instead of "how old are you now",
we say how tall are you now?

Aaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhh. The girls are growing--It's funny--- Christina is really trying to stay taller than Colleen. Even her eyes are reaching upward to win the battle of the height.

Hop on

Christmas is coming-are you ready? Better hop on the candy train! Made these at our Relief Society Super Saturday. I taught the class, but it was really self explanatory. I think this lasted one day at home. Kids enjoyed making it!

October 29, 2009 Happy Birthday AJ!

The Surprising Story of the Three Little Pigs

Colleen's 7th grade class performed a play on Wednesday, June 3, 2009. The story is three stories in one-the three little pigs, the three billy goats gruff and the three bears. The characters get all mixed up with one another and funniness takes place.

Colleen got the role of pig #3. She did an outstanding job. I really did not know what to expect-I'd never seen her perform before. She surprised everyone with funny gestures and good timing and inflection and projecting her voice. Way to go!

Happy 11th!

Happy Birthday Aaron. You are 11 now. He has been wanting to go to the Cheesecake Factory for awhile now. This is the best reason to go-for your birthday-and try as many flavors of cheesecake as possible.

Mike, Aaron and I went for dessert. We got different flavors and then took 3 more pieces home for the rest of the kids. So in total, there was a possibility of sampling 6 cheesecakes pieces--ooh the richness. ohhh, the calories.

Flavors:

Peanut butter

Black Tuxedo

Brownie Sundae

Snickers

Chocolate Oreo

Oreo

My fav so far is the peanut butter. I have not tried the tuxedo, but our waiter said it was his all time favorite. I do not like chocolate cheesecake-so that one is out for me.

Letter U for Urchin

Ry made sea urchins at playschool. They were doing the letter U. Nothing better than using a Hostess pink snowball to make an urchin.

Easter

Ry couldn't find his Easter basket. Which was funny because our living room is small, and that's where the bunny always puts them.

The kids got new shirts to wear to church. Mike got a tie to match my dress. I know... we are cheesy.
PS It is so hard to get a good shot of everyone- no it's next to impossible!

Oh my gosh it's Edward

This is what a 13 yr old wants for her party. Twilight. She and Three friends on a journey to "Thrift town" to find black shirts. Back home to eat vampire cupcakes and bloody cake. Apple pictures to set the mood.

Hang up your wings

The poor kid who wrote this said it perfectly, and Aaron feels the same way! (pictures from net)

The toothfairy needs a new job. She forgot to come get Aaron's tooth. That is disappointing to an 10 year old wouldn't you think? You know this isn't the first time this has happened...I told the kids before that I would have to call her to remind. Man, what's going on there?

She did come the next night and left a 100% raise in the tooth pillow--she must really feel bad. So $2 helps Aaron feel better. hey, you know now that I think about it, that tooth had a cavity in it-she should have left a nickel and called it a night.

To show support for teachers who may be getting the pink slips everyone wore pink to school. Note Aaron wore a pink bandana in his back pocket.

Get your ears on

Tea cups --this is what we chanted while riding:
"I'm dizzy, I'm dizzy, I'm dizzing"--we were laughing the whole time!
